We are currently seeking an Application Software Engineer to join our team located in our Bayswater Head Office.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Application Software Engineering Team Leader this exciting opportunity will see you building Application Software on top of ANCA Motions Core CNC products. This role will allow you to explore opportunities to add additional features above and beyond the framework requested, which will enable you to step outside the box and explore your creative and innovative side.
As an Application Software Engineer you will liaise with other Software Engineering Teams, Sales Teams and Product Managers to offer in-depth extensive knowledge on features and workflows within our developed Application Software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Application Software that achieves all customer requirements.
- Keep in regular contact with the overseas Application Software Engineers to ensure that they are receiving support and direction.
- Develop requirements for application logic and workflows from customers (typically machine OEMs) and Product Managers.
- Support Field Application Engineers and Aftermarket Technicians with diagnostic procedures for root causing field issues relating to Application Software products.
- Provide pre-sales assistance to Sales Personal and Field Application Engineers on possible solutions to customer requirements.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience with programming languages such as C# / WPF / XAML.
- Understanding of modern software design principles and patterns.
- Experience in User Interface design.
- Demonstrated experience in interfacing directly with customers.
- The ability to think strategically at a high level and entertain wide-ranging possibilities in developing a vision for the future.
- Willingness to trial developed software on industrial machine tools.
