We are currently seeking a Graduate Engineer in our Bayswater Head Office

About this Role:

As a Graduate Engineer at ANCA, you will be responsible for Selecting, designing, testing, and maintaining the CNC PC-based embedded hardware platform. Provide Operating System configuration and build support to ensure reliable operation of the CNC.
You’ll report directly to Core Software Engineering Team Leader and working with Design Engineers of all disciplines and additionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing and other Production Departments as well as Marketing, Quality and After Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Select and evaluate computer hardware for use in embedded applications
  • Establish the bill of materials and maintain the assembly in the system
  • Validation of the hardware to satisfy design requirement including EMC, CE, RoHS, and reliability
  • Build Windows OS / INtime RTOS for the selected hardware
  • Maintain the OS image
  • Introduce the OS image into production test rigs
  • Validate the OS image following DVPnR process
  • Conduct real time performance test to satisfy jitter requirements
  • Prepare documentation for distribution to users so they can resolve frequently needed maintenance or configuration issues
  • Test and introduce required device drivers into the OS
  • Antivirus compatibility reviews as required as well as establishing a technical partnership with key security suppliers
  • Analyse SW/HW incompatibility and reliability issues as raised by ANCA Motion Customer Operations staff and provide root cause analysis
 
Skill & Knowledge Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Computer science or Electrical or Electronics Engineering field(s)
  • Knowledge of Industrial PC hardware, Windows and Realtime operating systems.
  • Project Management skills desirable.
  • Demonstrate a flexible and “can do” attitude
  • Collaborative working relationship
