About the Role:

We are currently seeking an IT Help Desk Support to join our team located in our Bayswater Head Office. Reporting to the Group IT Manager, you will plan, coordinate, and implement computer support services for ANCA. 

You will be the first line of support for all IT requests and issues, assisting and solving day-to-day enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner. This role will see you work on a global IT network and gain valuable skills and exposure to multiple IT disciplines. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with IT Helpdesk enquiries.
  • Coordinate as needed with System Administrators to determine the appropriate response for user requests and assign the request to the relevant IT person.
  • Provide advice and technical assistance to users in relation to problems and take the relevant action as necessary to resolve issues.
  • Prepare documentation of user enquiries and solutions implemented to use as reference for the provision of timely advice on similar matters in the future.
  • Prioritise own workload to ensure effective delivery of service and review these priorities periodically with your manager to ensure alignment with the business needs.
  • Update and maintain IT request management system to allow the accurate recording of requests received and resolution activities.
  • Establish computer and phone services as required for new employees.
  • Maintain KPIs that demonstrate the performance of the IT support area.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of policy for the acquisition of new hardware and software.

 

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT are highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and general understanding of networking principles.
  • Positive attitude towards learning and growing within the team.
  • High level analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and to plan and organise work priorities.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
