Project Manager

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team located in our Bayswater head office. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the timely, budgeted, and successful completion of projects.

Your main duty will be to create and execute product development plans, utilising sound engineering expertise to ensure the production of top-quality products that meet company goals and quality targets. You will apply your skills, experience, and knowledge to attain project objectives while adhering to agreed-upon parameters and acceptance criteria. As a Project Manager, you will hold operational authority over resources required for the completion of projects and be responsible for critical delivery elements such as development time, development cost, and unit cost.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing technical requirements, scope of works and project timelines for product development.
  • Breaking programs into projects and work packages aligned with commercial models and go-to-market strategies.
  • Creating and managing project schedules with clear milestones, check-ins and reviews.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks, conducting design reviews and obtaining technical sign off from management.
  • Leadership of project teams to develop products through complete product lifecycle.


Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience in product design and product life cycle.
  • 3-5 years Project Management experience.
  • Proficient in negotiation and communication, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in liaising and negotiating with both internal and external suppliers.
  • Capable of critical thinking, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
  • Comprehension of technical and engineering principles, as well as relevant technologies and their application to machine tool design.
  • Familiarity with procurement, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
  • Certified in PMP, PMBOK, PRINCE2 or Agile methodologies - preferred but not required.
