We are currently seeking a Robotics Engineer to join our team located in our Bayswater Head Office.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for the mechanical design, programming, and implementation of robot-related products and integrations. You will use computer-aided modelling to create drafts and perform tests on the robots to ensure safety and quality. This will be completed in conjunction with techniques and systems to implement and support engineering functions that achieve innovative ideas whilst creating a collaborative and supportive environment for Design Engineering personnel.
To be successful in the role, you must have a degree in an engineering discipline. You will have deep knowledge of flexible automation and computer systems and possess an aptitude in cost and efficiency optimization.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to determine the parameters of a robotic application.
  • Design/Program robotic systems from start to finish.
  • Develop and implement software that will control robots.
  • Develop cost-effective and efficient processes to produce the machines.
  • Perform integration tests and quality control.
  • Create complete documentation for robotic systems.
  • Monitor the use of robotic systems and optimize their functionality.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in robotics and relevant fields of engineering.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
  • Degree in Engineering, Mechatronic/Electrical/Mechanical.
  • 5+ years’ experience in similar fields.
  • Good knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
  • Knowledge of cost, efficiency, and productivity optimization methods.
  • The ability to manage time and prioritise tasks to deliver projects within agreed time frames.
  • Demonstrated root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated engineering mathematics or a keen interest in algebra, calculus, numerical analysis, kinematics, computer science, applied physics, and mechanics.
  • Experience in Fanuc programming, simulation and integration is advantageous.
