We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team located in our Bayswater Head Office.
 

 

About the Role:

 

Reporting to the Product Development Team Leader this exciting opportunity will see you implement and support engineering functions that achieve innovative ideas and direction, quality workflows and globally applied technical directions. You will create a collaborative, cohesive and supportive environment for Design Engineering personnel whilst being responsible for the electrical, PLC and integration design and development of quality products. You also be responsible for liaising with branches, customers and operations during the preliminary design stage to accurately determine our customer requirements from a technical perspective.

 
 

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Liaise with Branches, Customers and Operations during the preliminary design stage to accurately determine the customer requirements from a technical perspective.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing and service engineers.
  • Design and integration of electrical systems, PLC, safety systems and software.
  • Electrical design of machine control and automation equipment for cost effectiveness, ease of manufacture and optimum reliability.
  • Development, commissioning and maintenance of PLC software to optimise machine function and special projects.
  • Apply the requirements of the European CE Directives/Regulation throughout the product development process.
  • Actively participate in Peer/Design Reviews to improve quality of work and aid developmental velocity.
 
 

Required Skills & Knowledge:

 
  • Proven comprehension of design principles and their application to machine tool design.
  • Proven ability to autonomously manage small to medium projects, prioritizing tasks and delivering within agreed time frame.
  • Demonstrated root cause analysis and problem solving as well as data collection and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with internal and external suppliers.
  • Proactive and thorough approach to problem solving.
  • Systems experience with skills in AutoCAD, Elecdes & 3S Codesys.
