We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team located in our Bayswater Head Office.

About the Role:


As a Software Engineer at ANCA you’ll be responsible for contributing to the design and development of a broad range of software products such as tool design software and automation for CNC machines.
Working within a talented team, this exciting opportunity will see you work closely with stakeholders and other engineering disciplines to take ownership of ANCA’s software products and provide innovative solutions to our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements, scope of works, and estimate projects.
  • Design and implement software to industry best practices.
  • Contribute to all phases of projects including planning, documentation, and deployment.
  • Writing unit tests and participating in code reviews and peer testing.
  • Conducting software verification on a simulator and hands-on machine testing.
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines throughout the product development life cycle.
  • Providing technical support for internal and external customers.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proven technical competency in software engineering practices.
  • A strong comprehension of Object-oriented software analysis and design.
  • Proven expertise in Java programming language for full stack development.
  • The ability to manage time and prioritise tasks to deliver projects within agreed time frames.
  • Demonstrated root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated engineering mathematics: algebra, calculus, numerical analysis, kinematics.
  • An understanding of SCRUM or similar Agile framework.
